I am deeply passionate about helping people improve their mental health and also working preventatively to help others understand how to support themselves. I love learning about our nervous system and I firmly believe everyone should have access to this information so that it helps us find more balance and joy in our every-day hustle and bustle. Through many years of clinical work, as well as decades of personal experience, I have created this course to help people thrive, instead of just survive.
For this 5-week course, I will be cultivating a safe and contained space for a small group of up to 10 participants, where you will be welcomed and supported to learn and try out new ways of coping. You will receive teachings on the body’s nervous system and how and why it responds to stressful situations. There will be time to try out individual activities as well as participate in group discussion, if this feels comfortable (no obligation to unmute yourself, you can also just sit back and listen). You will be introduced to a variety of different coping techniques, why they are helpful, and gently guided to practice these.
As stress can impact on all areas of our life, this course has been holistically designed to explore many of such key areas. To name a few, these include – stress and our emotions, stress and our physical health, stress and our relationships, stress and its link to perfectionism and self-criticism.
